QUEENS CIVIC CONGRESS KEVIN FORRESTAL COMMUNITY LEADERSHIP AWARD
In 2024, Queens Civic Congress awarded its first Community Leadership Award in recognition of the outstanding efforts of QCC past-president Kevin Forrestal (please see Kevins bio). With this award, we recognize the leadership qualities that Kevin exemplified. Queens civic leaders serve as volunteers to ensure the betterment of Queens, The Community Leadership Award recognizes outstanding dedication and leadership.

December 2024: Presented to Michael Scotland, president of Addisleigh Park Civic Association
Michael Scotland is a dedicated civic community leader with over a decade of experience driving impactful change in Southeast Queens, New York, currently serving as the Global ITAM Director for the Intercontinental Exchange, Inc. In addition to his professional role, he holds various leadership positions, including Vice President of the Queens Civic Congress, immediate past President of the Addisleigh Park Civic Organization, past Corresponding Secretary for the Eastern Queens Alliance, and Alumni of the Queens Borough President’s Queens General Assembly (QGA).
Michael is passionate about serving the community and addressing pressing local issues through grassroots organizing, strategic partnerships, and policy advocacy. He remains committed to continuous learning, professional growth, and fighting for a better future for both the present and the future through grassroots organizing, partnerships and policy advocacy.
Michael is also a member of the following Queens Civic Congress Committees: Communications & Media Committee; Events Committee.
